Deleting your data

Kaptcho keeps your data on your computer. This page explains how to delete what it holds when you connect YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X or LinkedIn to publish videos and read their numbers.

What Kaptcho holds

  • Sign-ins to your social accounts. When you connect an account, the sign-in is kept in your computer's keychain (Keychain on a Mac, Credential Manager on Windows, the Secret Service on Linux). It is never sent to us.
  • Your posts' numbers. The views, likes and other figures Kaptcho shows are kept in Kaptcho's folder on your computer so the page opens quickly.
  • Nothing on our servers. When a network needs it, kaptcho.com passes the one-time sign-in code between the network and the app. It keeps no copy, no token and no record of your account.

Delete it in Kaptcho

  1. Open Posts and insights, then Accounts.
  2. Choose Disconnect next to the account.

Kaptcho signs out at the network, removes the sign-in from your keychain and deletes that account's saved numbers from your computer.

Delete it at the network

You can also remove Kaptcho from your account settings at each network. Kaptcho then loses access at once.

  • Facebook and Instagram: Settings, then Apps and websites (or Business integrations), then remove Kaptcho.
  • YouTube: your Google Account, then Security, then Third-party apps with account access, then remove Kaptcho.
  • TikTok: Settings and privacy, then Security, then Manage app permissions, then remove Kaptcho.
  • X: Settings and privacy, then Security and account access, then Apps and sessions, then remove Kaptcho.
  • LinkedIn: Settings, then Data privacy, then Permitted services, then remove Kaptcho.

Remove everything

Uninstall Kaptcho and delete its folder:

  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/com.sincdevelopers.kaptcho
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\com.sincdevelopers.kaptcho
  • Linux: ~/.local/share/com.sincdevelopers.kaptcho

Then remove any entries named com.sincdevelopers.kaptcho.social from your keychain.
