Use Kaptcho with Claude and ChatGPT
Let an AI assistant make projects, cut, caption, grade and export in Kaptcho for you.
Kaptcho has its own connector, so Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants can edit with you. Ask for a TikTok cut of your holiday clips, captions from a subtitle file, a film look or cuts on the beat, and the assistant does it in Kaptcho. Every change is an ordinary edit you can see, change and undo.
Turn it on
Open Settings, then Connections, and switch on Let AI assistants use Kaptcho. Nothing can reach Kaptcho while it is off. Kaptcho needs to be open while an assistant works with it.
Claude Desktop
In Settings, Connections, choose Install in Claude Desktop. Claude Desktop asks you to confirm, then Kaptcho appears in its list of extensions. Ask Claude to edit a video.
ChatGPT and Claude on the web
- In Kaptcho, open Settings, then Connections, and choose Get a code.
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and connectors, and create a connector. Use this address: https://kaptcho.com/mcp
- When the assistant opens the Kaptcho page, type the code and choose Connect.
A code works once, within ten minutes. Get a new one for each assistant you connect.
Claude Code and other MCP apps
Choose Copy command in Settings, Connections, and paste it in your terminal. Any app that supports MCP can run Kaptcho's server, which ships inside Kaptcho.
What an assistant can do
- Make, open and save projects, and import files you name
- Add clips, split, trim, move and delete them
- Add text, shapes, stickers and captions
- Add effects, sound effects, looks and transitions
- Cut to the beat of a song
- Export with any preset, and follow the progress
Your files and privacy
Assistants on your computer talk to Kaptcho directly. Assistants on the web reach it through kaptcho.com, which passes each request to your Kaptcho and its answer back, and keeps none of it. Your videos never leave your computer this way. An assistant on the web can only export to a new file in Kaptcho's Exports folder, never over a file you already have.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect in Settings, Connections to cut off every web assistant at once, or switch off Let AI assistants use Kaptcho to stop all of them, including those on your computer.
