Install Kaptcho on a Mac

Kaptcho runs on macOS 11 or later, on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs. One download works for both.

Install

1. Subscribe on the Viremail Store, then choose Download.
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
3. Drag Kaptcho into your Applications folder.
4. Eject the disk image.

Open it the first time

Kaptcho is not code-signed yet, so macOS asks you to confirm before it opens. Signing is coming soon. Until then:

1. In Applications, right-click (or Control-click) Kaptcho and choose Open.
2. Choose Open again in the box that appears.

You only need to do this once. If macOS still refuses, see Kaptcho will not open on a Mac.

Sign in

On first open, Kaptcho asks you to sign in with Viremail. See Sign in to Kaptcho.
