Custom export

Choose Custom in the export panel to set everything yourself.

Picture

• Size: any width and height.
• Frame rate: from 23.976 to 120.
• Codec: H.264, HEVC, ProRes, VP9 or AV1.
• Quality: pick a quality level (CRF) for steady quality, or a bitrate for a predictable file size.

Audio

Choose AAC, Opus or uncompressed PCM. You can also export audio only as m4a or wav.

Which codec?

• H.264 plays almost everywhere. A safe default.
• HEVC makes smaller files at the same quality, but not every device plays it.
• ProRes is for editing and archives. See ProRes master.
• VP9 and AV1 suit the web. AV1 can be slow to encode.
