Import from a link
Bring in a video, sound or picture from a direct link, Dropbox or Google Drive.
In the Media panel, choose the link button next to the search box, paste the link and choose Import. Kaptcho shows how much has arrived, and Stop ends the download. The file then joins your media like any other.
Links that work
- A direct link to a file, such as one ending in .mp3, .wav, .mp4 or .mov
- A Dropbox share link
- A Google Drive share link for a file anyone with the link can open
The same link twice is downloaded once.
YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook and TikTok
Kaptcho does not take video or sound from these pages. Their terms do not allow downloading, and the sound on them usually belongs to someone else. For music you can use freely, try the free music library.
Only import files you have the rights to use.
