A tour of the Simple workspace

The Simple workspace keeps things light. It is built for getting a video together fast.

What you see

• Viewer at the top, with play controls and timecode.
• Main track along the bottom. Clips sit side by side and close gaps by themselves.
• Tool row with Text, Filters, Speed, Captions, Audio and Export.

What it does for you

Move a clip and the others make room. Delete one and the gap closes. Music sits beneath the main track and stays in step.

Changing a clip

Select a clip, then pick a tool. Each tool opens a small panel with a few clear choices rather than a long list of numbers.

Need more?

Press Tab to switch to Advanced. Same project, more tools. Switch back whenever you like. Nothing is lost or changed by switching.
