Beat-synced cuts

Find the beat

Add a song to the timeline, then open Beat sync in Shenron. Choose Find the beat. Kaptcho listens to the song and shows its tempo in BPM, the number of beats and how sure it is. The beats appear as ticks on the timeline ruler, and clips snap to them as you move or trim.

Cut to the beat

First choose how often to cut: Every beat, Every 2 beats or Every bar. Then:

• Choose Cut clips on the beat and Kaptcho trims your clips so each one ends on a beat.
• Choose Add beat markers to drop markers on the strong beats of the timeline, and cut by hand.

If there is no music yet, Choose music takes you to the Music panel.

Tips

• Cut on the strong beats for energy, and on every other bar for a calmer pace.
• A short transition on a beat can help a cut feel deliberate.
